Hello Parents/Players!
My name is Tom Mullen and I am the coach of the White Oak Athletic Club
Girl’s Striker level soccer team. Nunzio DiMenna (“Coach D”) is the other coach
that will be helping throughout the season as well. With 14 returning players
from our WOAC Blue Tornadoes spring team we are excited to be back for the fall
season.
For those that do not know Nunzio & me, we have been coaching outdoor
& indoor girls’ soccer together for the past 3 years & both of us have
daughters on the team. Our goals are to develop your daughter’s skills &
understanding of the game while having fun and hopefully winning games along
the way.
Your daughter will need the following for practices/games: Size 4 ball,
Soccer Shoes, Shin Guards & a Water bottle
Practice nights will be on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at Colerain High
School from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Our practice field location is on the grass field on the
left as you come in from the Poole Road entrance. For those that will come in
from the Cheviot Road Entrance the practice location is on the right before you
exit to Poole Road. I will have on my bright Hunter Orange shirt so you can't
miss me. :-)
Weather permitting; our 1st practice will be Tuesday, August 5th.
We realize that making both practice nights may be a challenge with balancing
schedules and other activities. As we did it in the spring, Tuesday’s practices
are mandatory & Thursday’s are OPTIONAL. The extra practice time is
beneficial to help with conditioning & individual development of the girls,
especially early on in the season.
There will be 10 games over an 8 week period. Most of the games will be on
Saturdays with 2 games that will fall on Sunday or during the middle of the
week. I believe the 1st game of the season will be the weekend of August 23rd.
If you need to get a hold of us for any reason, you may reach us at the
following:
• Tom Mullen: Cell: 708-3555; email: [email protected]
• Nunzio DiMenna: Cell:257-4193; email: [email protected]
We look forward to meeting all of you next week.
Thank you!
Coach Tom
