2024 Board Nominations are now open. 
Help us grow OLP! If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our organization as a board member, please take a moment to read through the descriptions of each position becoming open listed below. Elections are to be held in December. Please complete this form: NOMINATION FORM and send it to [email protected]

All Board positions are a 3-year positions, except for Member at Large which is a 2-year position. They will start January 2025 and will be held through December 2027, with January being a transition time to learn from the current member holding that position. Along with your position duties, each Board Member is required to participate in all fundraising activities of OLP and assist in the operation of all OLP activities and events.

Nominations for each position must be submitted to [email protected] no later than November 24, 2024. Once the nominations are in, the Election Committee will verify information and create a ballot. This ballot will be approved by the OLP board of directors and made available in the weeks following nominee submissions.

Below is a brief description of each position:

President: Preside at all meetings; by virtue of the office, be the chairperson of the OLP Board of Directors; present at each annual meeting of the organization an annual report of the work of the organization; appoint all committees, temporary or permanent; subject to the approval of the board of directors;  be one of the officers who may sign the checks or drafts for the organization; appoint representatives to sports leagues and councils with prior board approval; and have such powers as may be reasonably construed as belonging to the chief executive of any organization.

Secretary: Keep the minutes and records of the organization; file required paperwork; be the official custodian of the records and seal of the organization; present any communication addressed to the secretary of the organization; attend to all correspondence of the organization; and exercise all duties inherent to the Office of Secretary. The Secretary will be required at all meetings to present the policies to date as approved by OLP and collect new policies at each meeting to be entered into record. These policies and records will be maintained both digitally and hard copy.  Create and maintain registration and membership databases; keep registration records; establish and conduct registration dates for all sports, manage OLP email registry, and answer and/or direct inquiries and correspondence from OLP members or prospective members.

Cheerleading Director:  Oversee and direct cheer program; recruit and provide coaches with training opportunities (i.e. concussion, first aid, safety, etc.), create and maintain policies for program; coordinate practices; ensure coaching staff and cheerleaders are in compliance with OLP by-laws and standards of conduct; attend practices of each team periodically; assign cheerleaders to teams; communicate pertinent board decisions and policies to coaching staff and relate any coaching issues to the board. May order equipment as necessary with-in compliance of annual approved budget with coordination of the equipment director.

Equipment Director: Create and maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment for all sports; order equipment as necessary with-in compliance of annual approved budget; coordinate distribution of equipment to coaches and participants; coordinate return of equipment from coaches and participants; create policies and procedures for late returns and failure to return equipment.  

Fundraising Director: Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing fundraising activities with the help of all board members. 

Volunteer Director: Coordinate recruitment, training, motivation, organization, planning, and appreciation of volunteers and oversee activities of team coordinators.  Works closely with all Directors to ensure volunteers are available to work all shifts at all OLP games, matches, tournaments and events. Track volunteer requirements of members during required sports.

Member at Large:  Two year elected position as defined in Article V of the by-laws. MAL is eligible for re-election. The MAL will represent the interests of the general OLP membership to the board.  MAL is also the point of contact for all grievances and complaints.

Note:
The electronic ballot will be available for voting beginning Monday, December 9, 2024 and will end Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 7:00 PM. This ballot will appear at the top of this page when voting opens. In-person voting will be available at the Weber Field Press-box from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The address is 407 Agnes Dr, O'Fallon, IL 62269. 

For the 2024 O'Fallon Little Panthers board elections (terms beginning 2025), the following positions were not contested.

Nominee for Cheerleading Director: Paris Jenkins (running unopposed)
Nominee for Fundraising Director: Jennifer Forness (running unopposed)

For the 2024 O'Fallon Little Panthers board elections (terms beginning 2025), the following nominees will be on the ballot.
