Help us improve OLP! If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our organization as a board member, please take a moment to read through the descriptions of each position becoming open listed below. Elections are to be held in December. Please send an email to [email protected] expressing your interest and what position(s) you would be interested in. Each position is an elected position and holds a term of two years, except for Member at Large which is a one year term.

The President will preside at all  meetings; by virtue of the office, be the chairperson of the OLP Board of Directors; present at each annual meeting of the organization an annual report of the work of the organization; appoint all committees, temporary or permanent; subject to the approval of the board of directors;  be one of the officers who may sign the checks or drafts for the organization; appoint representatives to sports leagues and councils with prior board approval; and have such powers as may be reasonably construed as belonging to the chief executive of any organization.

The Secretary will keep the minutes and records of the organization; file required paperwork; be the official custodian of the records and seal of the organization; present any communication addressed to the secretary of the organization; attend to all correspondence of the organization; and exercise all duties inherent to the Office of the Secretary . The Secretary will be required at all meetings to present the policies to date as approved by OLP and collect new policies at each meeting to be entered into record.  These policies and records will be maintained both digitally and hard copy.

Cheerleading Director:  Oversee and direct cheer program; recruit and provide coaches with training opportunities (i.e. concussion, first aid, safety, etc.), create and maintain policies for program; coordinate practices; ensure coaching staff and cheerleaders are in compliance with OLP by-laws and standards of conduct; attend practices of each team periodically; assign cheerleaders to teams; communicate pertinent board decisions and policies to coaching staff and relate any coaching issues to the board.  May order equipment as necessary with-in compliance of annual approved budget. 

Flag Football Director:  Oversee and direct flag football program; recruit and provide coaches and officials with training opportunities (i.e. rules, concussion, first aid, safety, etc.), create and maintain policies for program in compliance with USA Football and other governing bodies; serve as OLP Flag Football League Commissioner; coordinate practices and game schedules; ensure coaching staff and players are in compliance with OLP by-laws and standards of conduct; attend practices of each team periodically; run draft; communicate pertinent board decisions and policies to coaching staff and relate any coaching issues to the board.  May order equipment as necessary with-in compliance of annual approved budget.     

Fundraising/Volunteer Director (This is split into two different roles): This position will be responsible for organizing/ leading all fundraising activity, with the help of all board members.  This position will  coordinate recruitment, training, motivation, organization, planning, and appreciation of volunteers and oversee the activities of team coordinators.  Works closely with Concessions Director to ensure volunteers are available to work all shifts at all OLP games, matches, tournaments and events. 

Concessions Director: (Concessions is mid term and will need to be appointed by incoming president) Coordinate all concessions activities of the organization; work with vendors; stock and maintain inventory of concessions; operate concessions; ensure volunteers are available to work all shifts; set pricing based on the recommendations of the board.
